Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been recognized at the Vruthi 2025 Clean Kerala Conclave for its outstanding contributions to sustainability and environmental conservation.
As part of the ‘Malinyamuktha Nava Kerala Janakiya Campaign’, Amrita received accolades for its impactful efforts in composting, recycling, zero-waste initiatives, and the promotion of Saukhyam reusable sanitary pads. The university was also lauded for organizing awareness campaigns that empower communities to adopt eco-friendly practices.
The award was presented in recognition of Amrita’s pioneering work in sustainable waste management, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our Sustainable Solid Waste Management Center. This recognition highlights our influence at both the district and panchayat levels.

At the Vruthi 2025 Clean Kerala Conclave held at Kanakakunnu, Thiruvananthapuram, Amrita also hosted a vibrant stall that drew over 10,000 visitors, showcasing our leadership in sustainable innovation.
