Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham becomes the Academic Partner of ICEGOV 2017 – 10th International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance to be held at New Delhi, India from March 7- 9, 2017.
The conference will cover a wide range of issues such as digital empowerment, e-Governance, cyber security, and using of big data.
The ICEGOV series focuses on the use of technology to transform relationships between government and citizens, businesses, civil society and other arms of government in order to improve public governance and its contribution to public policy and development. The umbrella theme for ICEGOV 2017 is: ‘Building Knowledge Societies &ndash From Digital Government to Digital Empowerment’.
The ICEGOV conference series is coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), based in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. Other partners include the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India and its National e-Governance Division (NeGD), as well as the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
