Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi Campus, celebrated its 2023 convocation with great pomp and grandeur. The convocation was not only a testament to academic excellence but also a celebration of the rich traditions that define this esteemed university. A total of 612 were graduated this year, the majority of the students are from Amrita school of Medicine with 187 graduates, followed by Amrita School of Pharmacy with 135 graduates, Amrita School of Dentistry with 80 graduates, Amrita School of NanoSciences and Molecular Medicine with 87 graduates, Allied Health sciences with 58 graduates and Amrita School of Business with 65 graduates.
The convocation, held over two days, was a spectacular event attended by distinguished guests from various fields. It commenced on the 22nd of September 2023, with the graduation of students from Amrita School of Medicine, Amrita School of Dentistry, and Allied Health Sciences. The presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Chief Guest Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Vice Chancellor of Kerala University of Health Sciences, elevated the occasion. Dr. Kunnummal’s words of wisdom resonated deeply as he commended the graduates for their resilience in the face of the pandemic.
The second day, on the 24th of September 2023, witnessed the graduation of students from Amrita School of Pharmacy, Amrita School of Nanoscience and Molecular Medicine, and Amrita School of Business. The event was graced by notable figures such as Dr. Rajiv Prasad, Principal of the School of Business, and Dr. Sabitha. M, Principal of the School of Pharmacy. The day began with a heartfelt Benedictory Address by Sampoojya Swami Poornamritanandapuri, General Secretary of Mata Amritanandamayi Math.
Students were privileged for the inspiring and thoughtful talks of the chief guests. Dr. RN Saha, Chief Scientific Advisor at Biophore Group of Companies, Hyderabad, emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptation in a rapidly evolving world of technology. Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Director of Software Engineering at Walmart Tech Bengaluru, shared insights on the fusion of knowledge and analytical thinking to drive innovation and organizational success in the business world.
A touching tribute to AMMA was presented by the students of the School of Pharmacy on behalf of all graduands, showcasing their deep respect and appreciation for the institution’s guiding values.
