A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Prof. Tsui-Yao Chen, Dean, College of Bioresources, National Ilan University (NIU, Taiwan) and Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean of the Amrita School of Biotechnology on May 23rd, 2016.
The Amrita School of Biotechnology established a partnership with the College of Bioresources for academic cooperation and exchange. The two institutions agreed to provide student and faculty exchange programs, engage in joint meetings for research and exchange of scientific materials, and collaborate on publications.
National Ilan University (NIU) (one of the oldest institutions of higher education in Taiwan) was formally founded in 1926 as Taiwan Provincial Ilan School of Agriculture and Forestry. As a center of quality education, NIU is now the only comprehensive national university in Northeast Taiwan offering BA, BS, MA, MS and PhD degrees. NIU moves forward its ninth-decade founding anniversary for a new era.
