The students and researchers at the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, were selected for the finals of the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 under Global Category and India Impact Category, the two categories under which the challenge is held.
The project is titled “Unmanned Robotic Coconut Tree Climber and Harvester”. The team consisting of Sakthiprasad K. M. (Ph.D. Scholar), Avinash Hegde (S4 ECE) and Vijaya Krishna Tejaswi (S4 ECE), Gowtham Kishore (S4 ECE) and Akhil Raj (Researcher).
The CISCO global problem solver challenge is a global competition in which students and entrepreneurs participate from all over the world to develop a solution that drives economic development or solves a social or environmental problem.
