Amrita Student Yadhu Raj to Represent India at the Asian Power Lifting Championship 2016

Yadhu Raj, a BBM student of the Amrita School of Arts and Sciences in Amritapuri, brings laurels to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham yet again through his sheer hard work and dedication. He is selected as a member of Jr. Indian Team to represent the country at the Asian Power Lifting Championship scheduled to be held on 1st week of June’ 2016 at Udaipur.

Earlier in 2014, he was bestowed with 2 Gold Medals and 1 Silver Medal in the Junior category at the Subrata Classic International Power Lifting Championship.

From the past few years he is the rising star and his hard work and dedication has helped him achieve high feats. He became in Strong man of the Kerala in February’ 2016 and earlier in January’ 2016 he was proved his talent for the third consecutive time by defending the title for the Strong Man of Kollam in 2015 and again in 2016. He won it for the first time in 2014.

The credit for Yadhu’s road to success is guided by Gym Instructor Mr. Bijeesh C., Department of Physical Education, Amritapuri campus, who has been very influential and his keen observation of talent in the field of Power-Lifting is commendable.

The Department of Physical Education is proud of the duo Mr. Bijeesh C. and Mr. Yadhu Raj for bringing up laurels time and again for the institution. The department thanks all the staff members of the department and special credits to Mr. Ratheesh for his support throughout the training and regime of Mr. Yadhu Raj.
