Abhishek Sidharth, a first-year BCA student of School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, has entered the list of the Facebook White Hat Program. He found a Facebook security vulnerability (security defect) and is one of the youngest to enter the Facebook Hall of Fame.

This initiative rewards and encourages security research that benefits anyone on the web and the honor is given to a security researcher who uncovers cybersecurity vulnerabilities, documents them, and shares that information with the company.

Abhishek has also received honors from international companies such as Google, Microsoft, Sony and Red Hat, etc.
