Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravathi Campus, has been awarded an external funding of ₹10 lakh under the Ashtaadashi Scheme by Central Sanskrit University for a groundbreaking research project titled “Technology Adaptation Project – Shaastra Map for Ayurveda: Enabling Conceptual Exploration of Ashtanga Hridayam.” The project aims to bridge the gap between Sanskrit knowledge systems and Ayurveda using technological advancements.
The project focuses on utilizing digital tools and AI-driven methodologies to enhance conceptual exploration of Ashtanga Hridayam, a foundational text in Ayurveda. By integrating Sanskrit computational techniques, the research aims to create an interactive Shaastra Map that facilitates deeper understanding and application of traditional Ayurvedic principles in the modern healthcare system.
The Ashtaadashi Scheme by Central Sanskrit University is dedicated to promoting 18 research projects that integrate Sanskrit with various fields of knowledge, ensuring its relevance in modern science and technology. This grant reinforces Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s commitment to research excellence and innovation in traditional Indian sciences.
