Amrita School of Pharmacy conducted Anti-Ragging Awareness Program on September 16, 2023. The program was organized by the anti-ragging committee and the Pharm.D and B.Pharm students of 2022 batch.

Dr. Sabitha M., Principal, Amrita School of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome address following which the speaker of the day, Adv. (Dr). Jacob P. Alex, Advocate, High Court of Kerala, addressed the gathering. His speech included various aspects of ragging and how the students can seek help in case of such incidents. Dr. Jacob also mentioned several sections given in the UGC regulations on ‘Curbing the menace of Ragging in Higher Educational Institutions’.

The session was lively with student interactions. At the end of the session, as a token of gratitude, a memento was given to Adv. Dr. Jacob P Alex by the convener of the program, Dr. Kanthlal S. K. Vote of thanks was delivered by Arya H. Nair of B Pharm 2022 batch. Around 250 people including faculty and students attended the session. The program concluded with the national anthem by 11.20 a.m.
