Soorya Narayan, an alumnus of Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, Class of 2015, visited the campus and offered a hands-on session on analytics as a part of a Marketing Analytics course offered to the students on January 11, 2017.
Co-founder of EduSeva Technologies, Soorya Narayan unveiled the potential of analytics in business and for humanitarian benefit to the students. Far ranging examples were offered: from playing ‘Pictionary’ to analyzing real-world cases such as MoneyBall, Prof. Ashenfelter’s Statistical Sommelier, Framingham Heart Study, Google Flu Trends, Twitter Sentimental Analysis, Netflix Recommendations, Hyundai Sales and Voter Psychology.
