As part of Colloquia series, School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati, organised a talk session on Journey towards Entrepreneurship on the October 14, 2023. The session began promptly at 5:30 p.m. in room A-110.

Mr. Sam commenced his talk by recounting his short stint with ASB and how it laid the foundation for his successful career. He detailed his diverse professional journey, which included significant roles at renowned organizations such as Apollo and Gleneagles. His most notable achievement to date, as highlighted during the talk, was the founding of Mykare Health. This venture earned him accolades such as the Best Entrepreneur Award in 2022 and recognition by Inc42 as one of the ‘Best startups to watch.’

The essence of Mr. Sam’s address revolved around the pivotal transformations required to move from being an employee to becoming an employer. He candidly shared his challenges and how his innate enthusiasm and unwavering dedication were instrumental in overcoming these obstacles. His discussion delved into crucial entrepreneurial skills such as risk-taking capacity, decision-making, critical thinking, team management, relationship building, and organizational commitment. To facilitate a more interactive session, Mr. Sam particularly emphasized the importance of international marketing strategies and the role of team cohesion in driving a company’s success.

The colloquium concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students could ask questions and seek advice. Mr. Sam’s pragmatic insights and real-world examples provided the aspiring entrepreneurs in attendance with valuable guidance.
