The Amrita-Sankalp General Duty Assistant Training Centre was inaugurated at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, today by Shri Vikram Singh (IAS), the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad in the presence of the Vice-Chairman of Mata Amritanandamayi Math & President Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Sampoojya Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri. The BJP District President, Shri Gopal Sharma and the BJP leader, Shri Tipper Chand Sharma were also present during the event.
This centre would offer General Duty Assistant (GDA) training course in a fully equipped practical and digital learning lab. The course will also provide 210 hours of life skills training to students.
Addressing at the event, Swami Nijamritananda ji said, “Just like a mother takes care of her child, Amma not only ensures that all her children are not just healthy but also well fed and nurtured. This centre is a step forward in the direction of Amma’s vision of empowering the the rural women”.
Further, the Deputy Commissioner of Faridabad, Shri Vikram Singh (IAS), said, “With the starting of Amrita Hospital in Faridabad, this is a ‘game changer’ for North India as several benefits will come to the region. One such thing is to provide skill training to people which will lead to development of skill force in and around the region and thereby enhancing the standard of living”.
The Amrita Sankalp Project is an initiative of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in association with the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). This center has two experienced trainers to equip two batches of 35 students each. The classes will run from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. In the near future, this center will also offer a Home Health Aide certification course as prescribed by the NSDC.
