AmritaCREATE, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized a one-day workshop on Online Labs at Parampara Academic Public School, Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu, on August 25, 2017. The workshop was attended by fifty-five science teachers from nineteen schools participated in the workshop.
Suresh Dhandapani, staff member of AmritaCREATE, explained Online Labs to the participants. During the demo session, he explained how to perform an experiment in Online Labs virtually. The demo session was followed by hands-on session on Online Labs, conducted in two batches. In the hands-on session, the participants got the opportunity to explore Online Labs in the computer lab of the school for one hour. After the training session, certificates of participation and free OLabs CDs were provided to the participants for future reference.
“It was an informative workshop overall. As a part of the session, we have a lot of take away inputs to enhance ourselves and for our students,” commented A. Sajiath Ahmed from The Geekay World School.
“The workshop on Online Labs is really very useful for us. The simulation of practical experiments surely helps to enhance the students’ intelligence and the workshop is organized in a very nice way,” said Chandra Mohan V. from Sri Narayani Vidyashram.
“The program was very useful. It helps us to teach the kids interestingly,” commented B. Pathumakomalai from SRK Vidhyalaya.
“It was a useful program in chemistry and we can minimize the usage of chemicals through this program. Students also never hesitate to work continuously up to their satisfaction of understanding the concepts properly,” shared Abeetha Gujambal from TVS Academy Montessori School.
