The department of Computer Science, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, in coordination with CSI, hosted a webinar on “Importance of Programming Paradigms” on December 21, 2020, for all BCA and Int.MCA first semester students.

The resource person Mr. Vipin Pavithran, who is the Assistant Professor at the Centre for Cyber Security at Amritapuri campus, emphasized communication skills, managerial skills, applications of computers in various fields which led to the core understanding of why coding is important, and where are we heading towards in future. Explaining further, Mr. Pavithran gave several real-time examples where programming is used such as Agriculture, Sports, Business and so on. He also shared several website links that can be used to improve one’s coding skills.

The webinar encouraged more than 170 students who attended it to think and be serious in learning programming languages which were evident in the concluding Q & A session.
