The Department of Management and Commerce, School of Arts and Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus, organized a one-day webinar on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) on June 20, 2020.  Dr. T. T. M. Kannan and Dr. Bakrudeen Ali Ahmed, Associate Professors from PRIST University, Tamil Nadu, were resource persons.

The aim of the webinar was to spread IPR awareness among the faculty members, research scholars, students, and start-ups. Various forms of IPR, i.e., Patents, Copyrights, and Trademarks, and the significance of patents and its procedures were discussed.  The webinar also covered the basic aspects of patenting and the economic significance of creating and providing legal safeguards to novel ideas and innovations.
