Dr. V. V. Pillay, Professor and Head, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology and Chief of Poison Control Centre, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, has contributed chapters in the just released multi-author treatise on emergency medicine, titled, Textbook of Emergency and Trauma Care.

It comprises 900 pages, 16 sections, and 100 chapters, with more than 100 contributors from India and abroad, and presents detailed guidance on trauma management, toxicology and disaster management.
‘Assessment and Management of Poisoning’ and ‘Organophosphate and ‘Carbamate Insecticide Poisoning’ are the two chapters contributed by Dr. Pillay to this reference source. The book has been edited by Dr. Devendra Richhariya, a renowned emergency medicine expert based in Medanta Medicity, Gurgaon, Haryana, and published by Jaypee Brothers Medical Publishers, New Delhi.
