As an external academic expert, Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman – IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, attended the 21st Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Meeting of National Engineering College (NEC), Kovilpatti on 14 September 2024. The objective of this meeting was the presentation of attainments and gap analysis for the Academic Year (AY) 2023-2024 as well as fixing targets and strategy planning for the AY 2024-2025. The IQAC meeting was presided over by Dr. K. Kalidasa Murugavel, Principal, NEC Kovilpatti, in the presence of Dr. S. Shanmugavel, Director; Dr. L. Kalaivani, IQAC Head; Deans, and HODs of the college. Dr. Prashant provided an overview of changes in NAAC accreditation procedures that have been communicated to various stakeholders. Dr. Prashant also showcased best practices of Amrita University such as IQAC as a nodal office for all rankings and accreditation, cultural education, and linkage of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC( to Atal Tinkering Labs (ATL) of various schools.
