Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) continues its commitment to fostering academic excellence through active support and collaboration with autonomous higher educational institutions across India. This mentoring initiative focuses on knowledge exchange, academic audits, and contributions to various academic and administrative committees, including IQACs, Boards of Studies, and academic advisory committees.
On August 10, 2024, Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman of IQAC at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, participated as an external advisor in the 38th IQAC meeting of Vardhaman College of Engineering, Hyderabad. Presided over by Dr. JVR Ravindra, Principal of the college, the meeting reviewed the IQAC’s achievements for the Academic Year 2023-2024 and outlined the action plan for the upcoming academic year. Distinguished academic experts, including Dr. Suresh Purini from IIIT Hyderabad and Prof. R. Nageswara Rao, Senior Professor (ret.) of Business Management, Osmania University, Hyderabad, also attended the meeting. Dr. Prashant highlighted several best practices from Amrita, such as seed grants and grace marks for exceptional achievements in hackathons, sports, culture, and community outreach activities. The event was organized by Dr. E.R. Aruna, Dean-IQAC of Vardhaman College.
Further strengthening its support, Dr. Prashant R. Nair engaged virtually in the Department Advisory Board (DAB) meeting of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Saintgits College of Engineering, Kottayam, Kerala on August 12, 2024. Chaired by Dr. Arun Madhu, HOD-CSE of Saintgits College, the meeting focused on reviewing and approving the curriculum for the 2024 admissions and revising the department’s vision and mission. Dr. Prashant shared Amrita’s best practices, emphasizing the importance of grace marks for notable achievements in hackathons, sports, culture, and community service.
