Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Essex, United Kingdom signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 07, 2014 for international collaboration in healthcare and higher education, under the South Asia Initiatives.
This is a tripartite initiative between Government Institutes in South Asia Partners, United Kingdom and USA. This network of many countries in South Asia and United Kingdom will promote global exchange of knowledge and skill which will benefit students and population at large.
The MoU will further establish an Amrita – ARU that will facilitate setting up of a Center of Excellence for collaborations in Public Health and Clinical Specialties.
The major collaborative objectives include promoting development and training which focus on healthcare and medical practice for medical students, collaboration with the postgraduate medical institute, public health, postgraduate education and research, forging innovative patient pathways, developing pre-clinical and translational research and realizing resources through joint ventures.
