Prabha, the UV Disinfectant Robot, and Self-E, the Self-driving Wheelchair, built by Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, were successfully deployed at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi.  Two researchers from HuT Labs were at AIMS for five days as part of the deployment process. This is the first successful deployment from HuT Labs. Further deployments of UV robots and wheelchairs are expected in the coming months.

Prototype testing at AIMS was started during the last week of May by the researchers from HuT Labs. Dr. Sundeep and Bri. Maya helped with the prototype testing and the deployment of products at AIMS. Br. Devidasamrita Chaitanya, Director, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, and Br. Sreevalsan supported the process.
