The Society for Emergency Medicine India, (SEMI) full time member of International Federation for Emergency Medicine (IFEM), has recognised the contributions made by Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in the field of Emergency Medicine and has given AIMS an award for Excellence in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Gireesh Kumar K.P., Head, Department of Emergency Medicine received the award on behalf of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Dr. Gireesh Kumar K. P. was given the National Excellence Award in recognition of his contributions in the field of Emergency Medicine. SEMI also recognised Dr. Sreekrishnan T. P., Assistant Professor, Department of Emergency Medicine for his activities in the Kerala State-level and presented him with State Excellence Award in Emergency Medicine. All these awards were presented in the 17th Annual National Conference in Emergency Medicine (EMCON 2015) held at Hyderabad International Convention Center, Hyderabad during November 22-24, 2015.
