Dr. Amalendu Jyotishi, Professor, Amrita School of Business, Bengaluru campus, spoke on “Land Tenure Systems and Land Degradation Neutrality” at the UNCCD Conference of Parties (COP14) event “Sustainable Transitions of Shifting Cultivation Systems for Land Degradation Neutrality- Opportunities and Challenges in the Uplands of South and Southeast Asia” on September 4, 2019, organized by IFAD at New Delhi, India.
Co-organized by International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), ICIMOD, ILC and WOCAT, the event attended by Prof. Jyotishi shared policies, strategies and innovations demonstrating that sustainable management of shifting cultivation systems can enhance income and resilience of communities while contributing to land degradation neutrality and climate mitigation.
