Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has been named as an IEEE Region 10 (R10) Newsletter Editor.

IEEE R10 comprises of almost a third of IEEE’s world-wide membership base with over 1.5 lakh members in Asia Pacific region which includes developed and emerging economies such as Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Singapore and Australia. He joins a multi-national editorial team representing the interests of 50,000+ IEEE members in India. Professor Nair has held several national leadership positions in professional bodies in the past. His IEEE leadership positions include Chair-Publications, IEEE Madras Section and Vice-Chair, IEEE Education Society chapter of IEEE India Council. He has also rendered service for premier conferences such as IEEE India Council Conference (INDICON) 2018, IEEE R10 Humanitarian Technology Challenge (HTC) 2014 and IEEE All India Student Congress (AISC) 2013.
