Dr. Shantanu Bhowmik, Head of the Research and Projects at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore Campus and Professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore Campus, was invited to deliver a lecture at the Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Processing Engineering (ISAMPE) Bangalore Chapter on January 29, 2016. 

Dr. Bhowmik delivered a lecture on the topic “State of the Art High Performance Polymeric Composite for Future Generations Nuclear, Aviation and Space” at ACD Conference Hall, National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore. The invited lecture was delivered for National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL) scientists.

The Indian Society for Advancement of Materials and Processing Engineering (ISAMPE) was founded in September, 1985, with Bangalore as headquarters.  It is a body of professionals dedicated to the promotion of professional and technical excellence in the field of materials and process technology in the country. ISAMPE aims at establishing and fostering a scientific and organized approach to advancement and applications in the field of materials and processing through education, research, compilation, dissemination of information, training and interaction among professional of inter-disciplinary fields.
