Amrita faculty member, Dr. Rakesh S., Vice Principal, Amrita School of Dentistry, and Head of Department, Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Microbiology, Amrita School of Dentistry, Kochi, attended and made a scientific presentation at the 3rd Annual World Pathology Conference at Rome, Italy, held July 8-9, 2017.

Dr. Rakesh presented a paper titled, “Oral Tuberculosis Presenting as a White Patch in a HIV Sero-positive Male Patient – an Unusual Clinical Scenario”, and it was selected for oral presentation at the conference. Delegates from various countries in Europe, North America and Asia attended the conference.

The 2017 theme of WPC was “Providing Accurate Evidence for Better Treatment”. As a highly interactive platform, WPC continually concentrates its topics on Molecular Diagnosis, Biomarkers Detection, Personal Medicines, Toxicological Pathology and Cancer Medications. The conference devoted itself to massive information exchange, enhancing research corporation and network bridging within the field.
