Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Vice-Chairman, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, has been appointed as the national editor for Computer Society of India (CSI) Communications.
CSI Communications is the oldest computer science magazine in India, having been published since 1974. With a circulation of 151,000, it ranks along with Digit, Dataquest and PCQuest among the popular and most widely subscribed computer science and IT publications in India. CSI Communications focuses on a theme every month and has sections like Cover Story, Research Front, Technical Trends, Security Corner, Student Corner, Programmer’s Workbench, Chapter and Student Branch news. CSI Communications publishes original research contributions in every issue l as well.
Prashant said, “CSI Communications has showcased AMRITA’s innovative educational technologies namely Virtual Labs, Medical Virtual Patient Simulator (MedSIM) and Amrita Virtual Interactive World (A-VIEW) as a cover story or technical trend in its June, August and September, 2017, issues respectively.
