Dr. P. R. Janci Rani, Assistant Professor, Food Nutrition and Health Education Center, Coimbatore campus, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has been appointed as a ‘Roster Nutrition Consultant’ for four consecutive years (2018-2022) by UNICEF-India. She will join hands in meeting the prime objectives of the National Nutrition Mission.

The position is responsible for providing technical support to national / state / district level/ block levels (in certain cases) nutrition programming in UNICEF supported states in India, with specific deliverables to be achieved for improved nutrition outcomes.

Dr. Janci is a nutrition expert and reaches out to the community, especially to women, to empower them with the basic needs such as health, education and livelihood. She has collaborations with funding agencies such as Department of Science & Technology and Ministry for Tribal Welfare for these community programs.
