In the State level competition held at Kochi on December 12th, 2016, to select the “Most Promising UG & PG Students” from among dental students across Kerala, students of Amrita School of Dentistry emerged toppers.
Dr. Venkitachalam, Final Year PG Trainee, Department of Public Health Dentistry, Amrita School of Dentistry, was adjudged the Most Promising P. G. Student (Senior) while Mr. Shankar Menon, First Year BDS student, won the award for the Most Promising U. G. Student (Junior).
There were 2 selection rounds and a final round, where a panel of eminent dental specialists from all over Kerala judged the students based on their stage-talk on the topic given for each category. Overall, 10 dental students from Amrita participated in this state level competition.
