An Amrita delegation visited Rutgers University, USA, on July 5, 2019, to strengthen ongoing and recent collaborations. Last year, both universities had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Amrita Deans Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan (PG programs); Dr. Bipin Nair (Biotechnology & Faculty of Sciences); Associate Dean of Engineering Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar; Department Chair of Chemical Engineering Dr. Sriram Devanathan and School of Biotechnology’s Dr. Shyam Diwakar met with the Rutgers team.

Earlier in January 2019, Rutgers Food Sciences Dean and Associate Dean, International, had visited Amrita. This visit was a follow-up for both sides.
