Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Coimbatore Management Association (CMA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for mutual cooperation in teaching, training, and research activities on November 12, 2021, at Amrita’s Coimbatore campus.
The MoU was signed on behalf of Amrita by Prof. C. Parameswaran (Senior Director, Corporate & Industry Relations, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore) and Dr. A. V. Shyam (Principal, Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore). Mr. Jayakumar Ramdass (President-CMA and Director, Mahendra Pumps) and Dr. Nithyanandan Devaraaj (Secretary-CMA and Executive Director, Amex Alloys) signed on behalf of Coimbatore Management Association.
Present on the occasion were Dr. Kishore Pillai (Dean, Amrita School of Business), Dr. A. Balachandran (Joint Director, Corporate & Industry Relations, AMRITA) and Dr. Prashant R. Nair (Joint Secretary-CMA and Vice-Chairman, IQAC, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham).
The MoU will provide collaboration in the proposed areas such as CMA students’ chapter, Students’ Projects, Internship Training, Industry Visits, Management Events, Executive Development Programs (EDP), Management Development Programs (MDP) and Consultancy.
In his comments about the partnership, Dr. Kishore Pillai, Dean, Amrita School of Business said, “We are happy to partner with a reputed management association such as CMA that has a large membership and wide representation from various types of manufacturing and services industries. This partnership is based on mutual benefits. Our students will have guest lectures from experts from the association, and gain knowledge by attending management programs. They will also have the opportunity to take part in research programs under the guidance of management professionals. We will organize Executive Development and Management Development programs with the inputs from our faculty members and the industry experts. We also look forward to offering consulting services in various management domains for the organizations. We thank CMA and its office bearers for their support.”
