B.Sc. Biotechnology students of Amrita School of Biotechnology (2016-2019 batch), Ms. Shree Viba and Mr. Thotla Vinay Kumar were selected for the Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2018 by the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru. Ms. Shree Viba won the opportunity to do an internship at the Environmental Biotechnology Research Lab at the Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi and Mr. Thotla Vinay Kumar would be doing the internship at the Oncology Research Lab at the University of Delhi.

Through the Summer Research Fellowship Programme 2018, the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru, offers two month summer internships to undergraduate students to work with scientists, researchers and professors at the research lab associated with the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru, Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi and The National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad.
