Amrita School of Biotechnology‘s M. Sc. students, Sreedev R. and Abhijith Balachandran participated in Computational Approaches to Memory and Plasticity (CAMP) 2018, a 16-day summer school on the theory and simulation of learning, memory and plasticity in the brain, at the National Centre for Biological Sciences (NCBS), Bangalore, from July 1-16, 2018.
They were among the 40 Ph. D. students and postdoctoral researchers across India selected for the event themed on hippocampus. Both Abhijith and Sreedev were M.Sc. Bioinformatics 2016-18 batch and had been working at Computational Neuroscience and Neurophysiology lab under Dr. Shyam Diwakar for their M. Sc. thesis. With their degree completed, they have returned to Amrita to continue at the computational neuroscience and neurophysiology labs as project assistants.
