On July 13^th, 2016 Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, was honoured with the Bharadwaja Puraskaram (Award) in memory of Late Vaidyamathom Valiya Narayanan Namboothiri for outstanding contributions in the field of Ayurvedic research during the 6^th Annual Day Celebrations of Poonthottam Ayurvedashram, Cherpulassery, Palakkad.

Dr. Ram Manohar was co-author of the research paper that won the prestigious Excellence in Integrative Medicine Research Award from the European Society of Integrative Medicine, which was published in the high impact research Journal “Annals of Rheumatic Diseases.” He has also been honoured with the Ayurveda Margapravartaka Award by Dr. L. Mahadevan Foundation and the Vaidya Sundarlal Joshi Smriti Sodha Puraskara from the Mahagujarat Medical Society, Nadiad.

During the Annual Day Celebration of Poonthottam Ayurvedashram on 13^th July, 2016, the Poonthottam Sankara Narayanan Namboothiri Samskritha Puraskaram was handed over to Dr. Raman Kutty (PhD in sanskrit) and Poothnottam Kala Puraskaram was handed over to Veena Artist Sri. Ananthapadmanabhan.
