Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda at the Amrita School of Ayurveda delivered a Plenary Lecture during the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Sri. Gulabkunverba Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya. He delivered a Plenary Lecture on “Global Opportunities for Ayurveda – A Wake up Call for the Ayurvedic Fraternity” during the National Seminar on “Ayurveda in the Contemporary Age” which was organised on this occasion under the dynamic leadership of Hon. Vice Chancellor Padmashri Rajesh Kotecha.
Hundreds of students and research scholars from all over India attended this meeting in the campus of Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar. Gujarat Ayurved University was founded as part of the reorganization of Ayurveda, after India gained independence from Britain in August, 1947. It was established in 1967 with headquarters at Jamnagar, Gujarat. It is the oldest University for Ayurveda and was the only university dedicated exclusively for Ayurveda until recent times.
