A three-day workshop on ‘Advanced Manuscriptology’, jointly organized by the School of Fundamental Research, Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) and the Department of Samhita & Siddhanta, Government Ayurveda College, Trippunithura, was held at the Government Ayurveda College, Trippunithura from January 7-9, 2019.
Dr. Shyamasundaran K. (Assistant Professor and Research Officer, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita School of Ayurveda) participated as a resource person and delivered lectures on “Relevance of Manuscriptology in Ayurveda”, “Steps of Lower Criticism” and “Steps of Higher Criticism”.
The workshop was attended by 25 teachers and PG Scholars from Ayurveda colleges affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The sessions were inclusive of both theoretical lectures and hands-on training.
Other experts who participated in the workshop were Dr. A. R. Krishnakumar (Director, Unmesha Institute of Indology, Mysore) and Mr. Vinod- Vastu Shastra (Expert, Sanskrit Scholar and Manuscriptologist).
All practical sessions were assisted by Dr. Ashwathy (PG Scholar, Department of Samhita & Siddhanta, Amrita School of Ayurveda).
