Amrita and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities sign an MoU to Enable Joint Degrees and Research Collaboration

In another milestone, Dr. Shashank Priya, Vice President for Research and Innovation at the University of Minnesota, announced the formalisation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. The institution is one of the most prestigious public research universities in the US.

The signed agreement was exchanged in the presence of Amrita’s Chancellor, Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma). The event took place on August 10, 2024 at the MA Centernear Chicago in Elborn, Illinois.

Amrita Provost,Dr. Maneesha V Ramesh, signed the MoU with Dr. Shashank Priya.Also present wasDr.Kimberly Kirkpatrick, Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Minnesota.

The collaboration will enable joint degrees, research, innovation, and technology transfer between students and faculty.Amrita Center for International Programs facilitated the agreement.

It is one of five universities in the US with an engineering school, medical school, law school, veterinary medicine school, and agricultural school all on one campus.
