It is very important to maintain healthy relations between different ethno-cultural groups in the multicultural world we live in. Towards this end, a two-day International Conference on ‘Diversity Management: Views from India and Europe’ was held in Ujire, Karnataka between 26th and 27th October 2018.
Co-funded by SDM Educational Society and the Erasmus Plus program of the European Union, the event was organized by SDM Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in the Humanities and Social Sciences (CIRHS), Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) and the Department of Social Work (MSW), SDM PG Centre, Ujire.
Six academicians from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, including researchers and faculty members have participated and successfully presented papers in the conference which was chaired by eminent scholars Prof. Martin Farek (University of Pardubice, Czech Republic), Prof. Prakash Shah (Queen Mary, University of London), Mr. M.S Chaitra (‘Arohi’, Bangalore), Dr. Pavel Horak (Czech Republic), Dr. Tess Joss (Mumbai), Ms. Veronika Civínová (Czech Republic), and Mr. Akshay (Bangalore).
