Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham/ AMMACHI Labs was recognized as key stakeholder to JSS in providing computerized vocational training software & services to JSS centers (272 centres) throughout India in the ‘Consultative Meet with Chairmen and Directors of Jan Shikshan Sansthans’ held at the Plenary Hall, Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi chaired by Shri Kapil Sibal, Hon’ble Human Resources Minister and also attended by Dr.(Smt) D.Purandeshwari, Minister of State (HRD), Shri Jagmohan Singh Raju, Joint Secretary and Director General, NLMA, Govt. of India. The reforms and innovations introduced in the JSSs during the 11 th Five Year Plan and future reforms were discussed.An MoU was signed between National Literacy Mission Authority and National Institute of Fashion Technology, Ministry of Textiles for qualitative skill based training and curriculum suited to JSS beneficiaries and another MoU with National Institute of Open Schooling for standardizing vocational curriculum, assessment and joined certification of JSS target group.
