The Inauguration of the 28th Batch of the MBA Programme was successfully organized by Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore on 19 June 2023 at Amriteshwari Hall, Coimbatore campus. The event started with the divine blessings of Amma, our Chancellor, followed by the welcome address of Dr. A Senthil Kumar, Vice-Principal, ASB. The inauguration ceremony was attended by university representatives namely, Mr. Parameswaran, Principal Director, CIR; Professor. Ranganathan, PRO; Mr. Satish Menon, Campus Director, Air Commodore; Mr. Sreevalsan, ICTS Head; Mr.Rajkumar, General Manager-HR, Dr. Bagavinar, Chief Warden; Dr. Madhu Menon, General Manager, CIR; and Mr. Jithesh, General Manager, CIR were among the notable guests present. A total of about 600 participants (about 200 students and 400 parents) attended the inaugural programme that includes the guests, university leadership, faculty, staff, parents, and students. Dr. Nava Subramaniam, Dean, ASB gave the inaugural address in which she highlighted the need to have impactful business education and how ASB is providing it. She impressed upon the audience about the C20 events conducted by the university.
ASB’s distinguished Alumni joined the event as Guests of Honour and delivered their keynote address. Ms. Rekha Balakrishnan, WHS Leader, Amazon India Ltd, Mumbai; Ms. Babita George, Director, TEGS Consulting LLC, UAE; Mr. Dilip Gopinath, Director & Country Lead – Tech, Commercial Banking, The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd, Bengaluru; Mr. Prasanth M.P, Program Manager – Enterprises, Kudumbashree National Resource Organization, Trivandrum and Mr. Anoop Rajappan, Director-B2B, Etisalat Afghanistan, shared their experience with the audience and how ASB MBA program played vital role in shaping their career. Their interaction with the new batch of students helped them understand life @ASB and the concept of learning and unlearning with FUN (Flexibility, Upskilling, and Networking). A brief overview of the MBA program by faculty members of ASB was presented after lively alumni interaction.
Finally, Dr. Sakthi Nagaraj T, PGP Chair, ASB thanked the gathering and organizing team. With the blessings of Amma, our Chancellor, ASB steps into a new beginning!
