The 12th Anniversary of Amrita College of Nursing was celebrated at the Health Sciences campus on November 01, 2014. The auspicious function started with lighting of the lamp by Bri. Karunamrita Chaithanya. Presidential address was given by Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. The program was inaugurated by Dr. K. S. Radhakrishnan, Chairman, Kerala Public Service Commission and former Vice Chancellor of Kalady Sanskrit University. Dr. Venkat Rangan, Vice Chancellor of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham addressed the students.

The milestones of Amrita College of Nursing for the past five years were unveiled by Prof K. T. Moly, Principal, Amrita College of Nursing. Bri. Saibala, Nursing Director, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences felicitated the occasion. Prizes were distributed to academic toppers of various batches.

Two educational sessions were also conducted in connection with the celebration. Mr. Vipin V. Roldant, Corporate Psychologist and Personality Trainer led the session titled Fly High, which was rejuvenating for the audience. The second speaker, Smt. Nishanthini R. IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kochi City, motivated the students by sharing her life experiences and her interactions with nurses.

Mrs. Laly K. George, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Surgical Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, welcomed the audience and Prof. Sunil Moothedath, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, proposed the vote of thanks.
