Drinks and Drugs (D&D) Awareness Program is a series of programs initiated on the Coimbatore campus to create awareness among the students about health compromising behaviors. The program was organized by Dr. C. S. Sowndaram, Professional Counsellor, and Mrs. Rajalakshmi S. A., Department of Students Welfare, on March 3, 2016. All the first year students of the department of Computer Science and Engineering, Coimbatore campus, were the target audience. 

Captain Seshadri, Co-Founder, Director Operations & Outbound Trainer / Facilitator, NALS, shared his experiences of personal and professional life and motivated the students to lead their life path resiliently. Speakers from Alcoholic Anonymous, Coimbatore, shared their personal history of alcoholism and how it wrecked their lives, which was an eye opener for the students. Feedback from students indicated that the program was successful and  that they had internalized the message.​
