Job Description

  • The School of Computing is currently offering excellent postdoctoral opportunities in computer vision, deep learning, remote health monitoring, and environmental surveillance systems.

  • Research at the school bridges disciplines like machine learning, embedded systems, sensor-driven analytics, and real-time video processing, with a focus on real-world applications in areas such as forest monitoring, precision agriculture, and human-centered AI systems.
Research Areas

  • Computer Vision and Video Analytics

  • Remote Health Monitoring using Deep learning techniques (e.g., rPPG)

  • Deep Learning for Environmental and Wildlife Surveillance 

  • Edge AI and Embedded Systems

  • Interdisciplinary AI for Agriculture and Sustainable Development
Responsibilities

  • Conduct innovative, high-quality research aligned with ongoing projects in health monitoring, agriculture, or environmental surveillance.

  • Publish in top-tier international journals and conferences. 

  • Collaborate with international researchers and institutional partners. 

  • Assist in mentoring undergraduate/graduate students and supporting curriculum development. 

  • Contribute to proposal writing and seeking research funding from national and international agencies. 

  • Engage in socially impactful projects in line with Amrita’s mission of sustainable development and societal transformation.
