Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites applications from passionate and skilled professionals to join the Heritage Herald Project under ASF/Amrita WNA. This project aims to preserve and promote India’s tangible, intangible, and natural heritage using cutting-edge technology. ASF is a school working with an objective to nurture sustainable and resilient communities, embodying our commitment to a brighter, more equitable future for all in various thematic areas.

Amrita WNA is a research center that has a vision of promoting, developing, and applying the use of wireless technologies in a variety of fields that would benefit society. Preference will be given to candidates with a Ph.D. or those intending to pursue a Ph.D. while contributing to this project.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Geography, GIS, or related fields.

  • Proficiency in tools like ArcGIS, QGIS, or other GIS platforms.
Job Location Kollam, Kerala
Job Description

  • Develop and manage Geospatial Datasets for mapping cultural and natural heritage sites, sustainability intiatives, disaster management, agriculture, healthcare, etc.

  • Integrate GIS data into the digital twin framework for visualization.

  • Candidates intending to pursue a Ph.D. in GIS or geospatial applications in heritage are encouraged to apply (Preferred)
Experience Minimum 2–3 years in GIS with experience in heritage mapping, sustainability intiatives, disaster management, agriculture, healthcare, etc or related domains
