Job Title Assistant Professor - Interior Design

Qualification B.Des and M.Des in Interior Design from reputed institutions.
Job Description Key Responsibilities :

  • Academic Leadership : Assist in the development and implementation of the syllabus and curriculum for the Interior Design program.

  • Teaching & Studio Coordination : Conduct theory classes, design studios, and hands-on workshops to ensure an engaging and effective learning experience.

  • Lab Setup & Management : Support the establishment and maintenance of design labs and material libraries.

  • Student Mentorship : Guide students on academic projects, research initiatives, and industry collaborations.

  • Admissions Coordination : Actively participate in the admissions process, including counseling prospective students and conducting entrance assessments.

  • Research & Innovation : Engage in research activities, participate in design competitions, and contribute to publications in the field of Interior Design.

  • Administrative Duties : Assist with academic planning, accreditation processes, and coordination between departments.

  • Industry Collaboration : Develop partnerships with industry professionals, firms, and organizations to facilitate student internships, live projects, and guest lectures.

  • Event Management : Organize seminars, workshops, and exhibitions to showcase student work and research outcomes.
Preferred Skills & Attributes
  • Strong knowledge of both contemporary and traditional interior design methodologies

  • Proficiency in digital design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, etc.

  • Experience in setting up and managing design studios and material labs.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.

  • Willingness to relocate and actively contribute to the institution’s vision for academic excellence.
