Summer programs abroad offer students a rich opportunity to broaden their horizons, combining academic learning with cultural immersion. In just a few weeks, participants can delve into new subjects, forge global friendships, and gain insights into diverse perspectives. These programs, though brief, lay the foundation for lifelong personal and professional growth.
One key advantage of summer programs abroad is their condensed yet impactful international exposure. Within a short timeframe, students can immerse themselves in a new culture, enhancing their academic learning while developing cross-cultural skills. Additionally, these programs often come at a more affordable price point compared to longer-term study abroad options, making them accessible to a wider range of students and fostering a more inclusive approach to global education.

Great job opportunities and international exposure through student programs adds an extra edge to the already excellent curriculum at Amrita University. I received an admit to the Graduate School at Penn State University through the Student Exchange Program and now joined as a PhD candidate in the Department of Engineering Science and Mechanics
The exchange offered as plethora of opportunities in the university. I was able to attend various seminars by IEEE members which was a very good experience. I also got an opportunity to work closely with a PhD student on research project. The labs were fully equipped and allowed us to apply theory in practicals. It was very great experience. professors were extremely helpful and students were equally jovial. The best experience. Got the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world. Learned a lot about their culture and they learned about mine.
My Passion for robotics led to my selection at ETSIEB, UPC, Spain and that was totally justified when I took up a research work and successfully implemented a working model of an autonomous hovercraft. My research in developing a new control mechanism for the hovercraft will be soon implemented in a satellite prototype at UPC. The professors are really friendly. It was a whole new experience all together. I can, without having any second thoughts, say that it was the best experience of my life. The international exposure is priceless. The people I got to meet, their culture, and food etc., shaped my thinking towards the world.
The opportunity provided a tremendous exposure to different style of learning from the conventional study. The interaction with professors, students and other facilitators helped in improving the understanding of the subject to a greater extent. The project work was challenging but it deepened the basics of the subject enriching the knowledge.
This experience has given me valuable technical knowledge that will be useful for my higher studies and career in the future.
I was delightful to have got a chance to pursue Masters in Italy. As part of the course, met some amazing people and learnt new market trends. University of L’Aquila, CSE Department specializes in Software Architecture and Web Technologies. Got to learn what technologies are really required to sustain in the market globally. ACIP has been kind of every part. Right from visa application to covid interferences and parents worrying to finishing the course , ACIP has always put best foot forwards to help the students enrolled in their programs. Hats off to ACIP!!!
My experience at Aalto University was more encouraging about life because of the high work-life balance. Seeing the startup culture in Finland I wanted to continue in a job at a Finland startup and I was able to find a startup of my interest because of some of my friends in Finland with decent pay to give me the experience I needed
We would really like to take this moment to thank everyone in the international office for your consistent support and guidance throughout this entire process. It really was a wonderful and insightful experience. Thank you so much for this opportunity
I came to Madrid, I really liked the culture and the way the labs here work. I could not come back to India after my project here due to the pandemic, I decided it’s best to apply to labs in Madrid. I am learning a lot through this experience, which would not have been possible without the Student Exchange Program at Amrita University.
Shwetha Nayak is currently doing Masters in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a specialisation in Biomolecular science at the University of Turin, Italy
We are Prithvi and Shourie, fourth year Mechanical Engineering students of Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, we decided to pursue the Foundation Master’s course, Signal, Control and Robotics track at Ecole Centrale de Nantes, Nantes France. Thankfully, it’s been great until now; the resources and opportunities that this institution provides are also immense. We encourage anyone to take on courses here if they are able to find the right ones for themselves.
B.Tech CSE student attended Summer Program @ University of Leeds, England 2019
I am now an intern at Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California at Los Angeles, USA, as part of the fully funded IUSSTF-Viterbi Summer Research Program 2019. I am extremely happy that I am one among the 15 students from India, who received this opportunity. A token of gratitude will be less in words for all the support I got from the University and my teachers
I would suggest my juniors join this university, as it gives new exposures, a new way of teaching, new friendships, a new world.
“We attended the summer school program at the University of Twente, Enschede in the Netherlands during August 13 to August 21, 2017. The program aims at shared learning and building teamwork among people from different countries. It was a great experience for us as we had never participated in an international program before”.
Apart from having the golden opportunity of representing India and Amrita university, I was able to make life lasting friendships and bonds which proved to be a direct result of having attended the Symposium. It will forever remain a cherished memory and one that has brought in more perspective, meaning and purpose to my life ahead

We have completed our project here in Barcelona. I would like to thank Amirta International Office for giving me a wonderful opportunity and a wonderful University like UPC Barcelona to carry out the same. We had an amazing five months experience in Barcelona. The university offers a classic state of the art library and other facilities including gymnatioms , playground for the students. I hope these few pieces of information will be helpful to more students who will take up an exchange program in the future
My name is Rony Philip. I am doing my masters thesis at Halmstad university. My supervisor and other facilities of the university are very helpful and friendly. The Programs are transparent and case study based. My classmates at host university fill the gap between my family and friends at home

Hi, I am Krishna PS who attended the Twinning program with VU; Wonderful opportunity to explore the difference in terms of culture and education methods. Best platform to develop both technical and personal skills. Presentently, working as a Software engineer in Rabobank, Netherlands.
I am Tony Thomas, 2016 Computer Science and Engineering pass out from Amritapuri campus. I got into the EIT Digital Master School scholarship for a double Masters at TU Berlin, and KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. The master program has the right mix of technology and entrepreneurship. During my bachelors, ACIP has helped me to attend a summer internship in Cyber Security at Tel Aviv, Israel as well, and I am grateful for the same.
The exchange program is a great opportunity for students to know about different cultures and education systems in a foreign country. From this program I have learnt a lot – managing studies and daily life in a foreign country
It was such a great pleasure for all of us to meet Krishnashree madam here at KTH. We really had a good time with her on May 7th. It makes us feel homely when a faculty from our home university visits our place and spends time with us. We are once again thankful to Amrita for this chance
I got selected to go to University Of L’Aquila, Italy from Amritapuri Campus, CSE Department for the Dual degree programme ( Dual Master’s) for the year 2015. During my stay at L’Aquila, I got opportunities to work on some challenging and exciting projects; I would like to take this moment to thank the entire Amrita family in particular the Computer Science department for their support as well as the international office for their kind guidance.
I was chosen for the semester exchange at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden back in 2014..With my personal experience, I believe that these exchange programs have great potential to act as a gateway to the world of unlimited opportunities. I wish, in future, Amrita would carry on this kind of activity and come up with much more innovative programs, which could greatly benefit students.
It was great meeting everyone at the ACIP last week and I would like to thank you all (especially Krishnan Sir and Sujatha Mam) once again for all the encouragement, support and consideration that you have given us in the past years.
