Bio

Dr. Prasad Goura V. M. K. currently serves as Assistant Professor (Sl.Gr) at the Department of Mathematics, School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati campus, in the year 2021. His areas of research include Numerical Analysis, Scientific computing, Differential equations and Computational finance.

Earlier, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, K. L. University, Hyderabad (Off-Campus), T.S. Before joining KLU, he worked as SRF and JRF in the sponsored NBHM project at the Department of Mathematics, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur for 4 years 1 month (February 2017-February 2021). Before joining VNIT, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities, Columbia Institute of Engineering and Technology, Raipur, C.G. for 7 years (2010-2017). Before joining Columbia, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Humanities, Dr. V. R. K. College of Engineering and Technology, T.S for 3 years (2005-2008).

He received his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, India. He has qualified GATE-2006 and 2007 in Mathematics with All India Rank-258, 160 respectively. Also, he has qualified GATE-2011 in Computer Science & IT with AIR-22784. He received his Master of Technology (M. Tech.) in Computer Application from IIT (ISM), Dhanbad, India. He earned his Ph.D. degree from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, India, in May 2021. His Ph. D thesis entitled as “Numerical Studies for Some Singular Boundary Value Problems and Fractional Partial Differential Equations”. He has published/accepted 26 research papers in reputed journals indexed in SCI/SCIE. His cumulative impact factor of SCI/SCIE-indexed publications is 67.628.
