Bio

Dr. Priyanka Vivek currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Sr. Gr.) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru. She earned her Ph.D. from Amrita School of Computing, Bengaluru, specializing in the Analysis of Discharge Summaries for Brain Tumor patients—a research endeavor conducted in prestigious collaboration with NIMHANS, Bangalore. A dedicated alumna of Amrita, she completed her M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru, and her B.Tech in CSE from Amrita Institute of Technology, Coimbatore.

Her research interests are centered on Clinical Natural Language Processing (NLP), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Multilingual Data Analytics. Beyond healthcare, she explores innovative AI applications in Cybersecurity (Shellcode Generation) and Visual Context-Based Image Captioning, emphasizing resource-efficient and domain-specific AI solutions. She is currently guiding students interested in pursuing high-impact research in Clinical AI, LLM, and Multilingual NLP. Through her mentorship, she aims to develop scalable, intelligent systems that address complex problems in medicine and society, fostering an environment of interdisciplinary innovation and academic excellence.
