Bio

Dr.J.Umamageswaran B.Tech., M.E, Ph.D., working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science Engineering, at Amrita School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. He completed his B.Tech degree in Information Technology in the year 2005 from VelTech Engineering College (Anna University), Chennai and M.E degree in Computer Science and Engineering in the year 2010 from Veltech Multitech Dr.RR Dr.SR Engineering College (Anna University), Chennai. He has obtained his Ph.D in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, in the year 2023.

He has 16 years of teaching experience under his belt, Dr. Umamageswaran’s expertise is undeniable. His academic journey boasts significant accolades, including a gold medal in his M.E. degree and the publication of 15, international journals, comprising 15 Scopus indexed and 2 SCI papers. Additionally, he has authored 3 book chapters for IGI Global and holds credit for 4 published patents, one of which has received a grant.

Beyond academia, Dr. Umamageswaran’s impact extends into the realm of competitions and training programs. Noteworthy achievements include leading his team to victory in the Smart India Hackathon (SIH) in 2022, earning a substantial Rs 100,000 prize. He also completed an intensive 42-hour AIML training program organized by ISTE and BNY Mellon, obtaining a proficiency certificate. His dedication to continuous learning earned him an Elite certificate from NPTEL for the AI-KRR course, positioning him among the top ten candidates.

Furthermore, Dr. Umamageswaran has shared his expertise through guest lectures at esteemed universities and institutions across India. His work focuses on machine learning and cloud computing, highlighting the significance of cloud-deployed applications.
