Mrs. Sumithra R P completed her undergraduate degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2009. She cracked the Gate Exam and with a merit scholarship completed her post-graduation degree from Anna University, Chennai in 2011. She is currently working as a Assistant Professor on Contract at the School of Computing, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Nagercoil.

She has 13 years of experience in teaching. Her areas of interest are Medical Image Processing, Deep Learning, and Web technologies. She has published research papers in reputed journals and conference proceedings. She is pursuing her research in medical image processing under the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering at Anna University. She is an active member of ISTE. She has guided many UG  projects and PG thesis.
