Bio

Dr. Sudesh K. Wadhawan currently serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Amrita Center for Wireless Networks & Applications (Amrita WNA), Amritapuri Campus.

Dr. S. K. Wadhawan has served the Geological Survey of India in various capacities with exceptional merit and devotion. He has vast experience in geological, applied geological and geochemical mapping, non-metallic/ metallic mineral investigations, stratigraphic correlations, and seismotectonics, sedimentological analyses, palaeoclimatic interpretations and Luminescence / OSL dating of Quaternary sediments, etc., and published over 50 research articles in reputed national and international journals, besides writing 40 scientific Reports for GSI, whose Extended Abstracts get published in annual Records of GSI.

Dr. S. K. Wadhawan has been a Visiting Faculty and nominated Geoscience Advisor for the UPSC, New Delhi and Expert Member of the Selection Committee for Atomic Mineral Directorate for Explorations and Research/BARC, Department of Atomic Energy and Search-Cum-Selection Committee for the Ministry of Culture, headed by the Cabinet Secretary, Government of India. He is engaged in writing research articles/ books, pursuing research interests in Geohazards, Mineral Exploration, Geoscience Policy Issues, Quaternary and Applied Geosciences, promotion and protection of Geoheritage sites & development of Geoparks in India with active support from INTACH.
